About us

Mental Wealth Training was founded by Anne Mathie with the intention of providing excellent quality, social care training. Our purpose is to educate, inform and enthuse everyone to challenge the stigma and discrimination that is prevalent in today's society around mental ill health.

Our philosophy is based on utilising experience both lived and career - Vitally important.  With today's statistics around mental ill health, the odds are we will have - or know someone who has experienced poor mental health and illness. Sharing experiences in life is what gives us a greater understanding of someone's perspective and we value greatly the peer perspective when developing and delivering our training.

All of our developed training has been created with to reach people not just on an educational level but also on a human level.  we encourage interraction and discussion based on lived or shared experience.  We had found, by accident that our most successful training days have had feedback which praised the use of experience along with the educational aspect, our customers valued this perspective and we have continued to embrace this element.

We are committed to educating people now and in particular, working with employers.  Employers now understand the implications of mental ill-health in the workplace, not just the financial implications but also the value of the employee and their ability, whether they have mental ill health or not.  It's just as important to maintain the mental health as well as the physical health of the workforce - in other words investing in their wellbeing.  We have worked with national organisations across the UK, developing and delivering training and seminars on mental health awareness, stress in the workplace and stigma and discrimination.
